This is a simulation
of who I wanna be
This is a simulation
of breaking free
So please give me insight
This is a simulation
of what I really feel
A constant escaping
into worn out dreams
Into this truth of fiction
Pretending to escape prediction
Breaking whose jurisdiction?
So will we ever know who we are
or only know what we're not?
Understand and not forget:
This is real

Why can't we all feel fine?
And be alright
Like I've been by your side
This way we live
messes me up sometimes
Curious & tired
Being anywhere, everywhere, nowhere
Baby don't hurry, there's no escape
Shit's quite simple:
Time is now
& everything fades
Can see the sun but feel no light
Past time to exit my inside
& let the sea
wash all doubt & fear aside
Baby why hurry?
What is escape?
I know it ain't simple:
Time has passed, let us sustain

Blurry

I am an animal
& that is not metaphorical
or simply natural
but I don't remember being told
I think you know I'm lost sometimes
in this abandoned beehive
with sounds & movements that
turned out too boring to decode
We draw lines
call 'em divine
the good side
built on lies
that become our own
I learned you dont feel joy
and that your eyes don't really see
That your skin feels no pain
And just like this it's always been
Today I took the bus downtown
to lose myself in something else than myself
These words aren't meant to be read

I mess myself up
being stuck in my mind
Keeping track of my doubts
until I'm dizzy from the inside
There's no solution to everything
To stay naïve won't save your dreams
Sometimes a kiss, sometimes the sun
Sometimes a smell, sometimes a thought
Sometimes a taste, sometimes a sound
Sometimes quiet, sometimes loud

What lights inside what we learn to hide?
Whats embedding me in what I breath & see?
Soak up the world & see if it'll soak up you
Speak to the world & see if it'll speak to you
Thats all we know, that's all I've done, that's all to come
I want to feel the sun, not see the light
Our world is not a mystery:
New sounds won't change the way we live

Imagined Communities
03:06
|

At the center of our maps,
histories replaced
At the center of our maps,
ourselves
Traditions of exclusion, imagined communities
and violent confines
A world shaped in our way,
Our way shapes the world
In privilege we're living
with no sense for another's mind, another's life
Identities through dead beliefs
Narrow minded narratives
persist to deny...
* The term 'imagined communities' is taken from Benedict Andersons book by the same name.

Every now & then
we turn our heads
shocked by the way
this world turns...

Something's going down
I dreamed of a chameleon
that acted like a cat
It was a friend of mine
but it never looked me in the eye
as my favourite colours kept passing by
embodied just for me
and just as slow
as reality makes me feel
no divine perspectives, no divine sight
I'm only here changing shape
